Colours By Emma

Canada

Sammi and Mick, the humans behind Colours by Emma, the Toronto-based pet supplies company striving to make quality, durable and stylish pet gear and accessories accessible to all. You shouldn’t need to compromise quality and style for price; they are on a mission to deliver products that you can trust and love without breaking the bank. As their site states:

"Our goal has always been to produce reliable and safe pet supplies that won’t break the bank, while also being able to match your unique aesthetic. We don’t wear the same clothes every single day, so why not have options for your pets?
From the durable vegan-leather leashes and collars all the way to the bandanas and waste bag pouches, all of the products you see are sewn/stitched/produced by Emma's mum in Canada, and tested for durability by our now 75lbs Rottweiler and all of her energetic friends! "

Get Dirty Collars and Leashes is based and made in Mineville, Nova Scotia. Inspired by their dog Chance, who was rescued at 10 months old, also happened to be def and quite mischievous. In order to have Chance enjoy the beaches on a super long lead, it would have to hold up to sand, seaweed and dirt. Colleen decided to make her own long leash which she then expanded to collars and regular leash sizes. Founder Colleen shares her life with her loving partner and their 7 dogs…yes, 7 dogs! You’ll often find her and her pack at the beach, in the woods, camping, or playing agility!

WagWear

USA

In 1996, Amy Harlow adopted six week-old twin Shiba Inus, Lucy and Tonto, and quickly discovered how difficult it was to find cool, classic, quality products for dogs that were both fun and functional. With her education in fashion and a successful career in modelling, Amy brought her expertise from the catwalk to the dog park and the WagWear brand was born.

Founded in 1998, WagWear offers puppy chic in the latest colours and trends with fully-functional details such as reflective tape in the leashes and coats, materials such as oil cloth, canvas and climbing rope, and overall classic design one might find on the beaches of Cape Cod or the streets of Tribeca the same weekend.
